The OPAS Solution
OPAS Occupational Health Software is fully configurable to meet your specific needs. Here are some illustrations and details.
Personnel Record
The personnel module has the facility to record a wide range of demographic data and is normally based on a batch update from an existing payroll or human resources system.
Clinical Records
OPAS allows for the recording and scheduling of Medicals, Health Surveillance and Referrals including clinical coding, consultation notes, treatment details and follow up actions. OPAS also includes a full range of clinical tests to allow recording of spirometry, using Micro Medical and vitalograph devices, audiometry, bloods, urine tests etc. Interfaces are provided to a wide range of screening equipment.
Diary and Recall
OPAS gives practitioners the option to setup the Diary with single or multiple clinics with individual session details (Start/End Times, Slot Frequency etc) and provides an efficient way of both scheduling and recalling staff for their next attendance. The Diary screen links to Recalls and Attendance records to ensure simple identification of DNA's, outstanding recalls etc.
Furthermore the Diary includes clinic lists and staff letters as standard functions.
Sickness Absence
Of ever increasing importance to organisations is the management of sickness absence. OPAS has the facility to record absences regardless of whether they are self-certified or medically certified. If necessary, clinical notes may be attached to a record, and for long periods of absence, details of several certificates can be included. Any absence records can be reviewed either on an individual or group basis to identify particular trends. The system provides Bradford Score Analysis and SSP Calculations.
Immunisation Records
The management of Immunisation Records in OPAS have benefited many of our customers, especially those within the NHS. Immunisation plans are easily determined by the user, which achieves an unparalleled level of flexibility.
Accident Incident (A/I) Reporting
All information relevant to an accident, near miss or even a potential incident can be reported. For reportable incidents, a link is provided to the the F2508 and F2508A forms.
As part of the CASS concept of integrated health and safety software systems, the accident/incident module has the facility to connect to e-mail. This feature can be used to automatically alert key personnel of an incident as soon as it is entered into the system.
The use of current third party systems can be extended for those organisations that have invested in the Intranet. By combining the CASS system with an intranet web page, the details of any incidents can be entered via any terminal with access to the intranet.
Employee Groups
Staff who require frequent health surveillance, or who are at particular risk, can be grouped together by creating an employee group. This allows common data on the workplace, to be incorporated into a planned health surveillance for associated employee groups.
Episodes
The creation of episodes permits the recording of attendances, and where appropriate, links them together to provide a complete picture of encounters and ensuing actions. This ensures that your data is accurately and efficiently managed and can be easily reviewed.
Flexi screens and questionnaires
With flexi-screens and questionnaires, users now have the ability to create on-screen forms that enable them to record specific information relating to clinical results, assessment details or questionnaires. Users can even create their own system of validation in regard to these by defining ‘look-up’ tables or ‘normal ranges’ for numerical results.
OPAS questionnaires can be completed via corporate intranets to reduce administration and to help to ensure that the use of Occupational Health Resources is optimised.
Host remote users
Having access to information when working away from the office is vital in Today's Occupational Heath Environment. If a computer network that spans over a limited geographical area known as a Local Area Network (LAN) or over a large area connecting offices in different area of the country or world also known as a Wide Area Network (WAN) is not available, this can cause difficulties with the smooth running of your organisation. The ideal solution to this problem is a remote user system. This special OPAS licence allows professional people, whose work takes them away from the office, to transfer data to a portable computer, enabling them to view all historical information and enter details of new events. This information is then transferred back and added to the main system to complete the host/remote process.
Actions
Users can create messages or actions in this module either as a reminder or instruction to themselves or to other users based on information gathered. The system is fully e-mail aware and actions can be sent automatically if required.
The action monitor provides an excellent method of overseeing and managing departmental work flow.
Document Management/ Scanning
Pro-active reporting
The CASS system includes a generic report writer for all its applications. This function allows users to create reports according to exact requirements. All the information collected may be filtered to pin-point specific trends, or to provide auditable information.
A range of standard reports are available along with easy to produce graphics.
