Gloucestershire Constabulary have used Warwick International Computing Systems Occupational Health Solution, OPAS, since 2000.

The system was initially considered as we were moving premises with limited space and so we needed a 'paper-free' system.  Having scanned all the OH records to the system we now have a paperless system which has brought huge benefits to the efficiency of the Unit and to the service we provide.  The system helps ensure staff have quick access to OH records which have been updated in real time.

How we use the system has evolved with the changes within the OH Unit and the Warwick Support Team have been very helpful in guiding us through these changes, ensuring we make the best use of the system for our particular needs.  Today we depend on OPAS on a daily basis for delivering all aspects of our service including diary management, record keeping, consultations, case management and data reports.  The system is particularly useful in case management, particularly in complex cases where more than one occupational health professional is involved.

We are very happy with the service we are given by Warwick.  The support team are excellent, responding promptly to any requests or queries we may have.

Overall the system has improved the efficiency of the OH services delivered and has definitely saved valuable time in the area of administration.
