Occupational Asthma Workshop

Description: Especially suitable for Occupational Health Advisors, Occupational Health Nurses and Practice Nurses, the day covers current issues in the diagnosis of occupational asthma and work-exacerbated asthma in a hospital setting, and examines the role of the Occupational Health Practitioner in this process.  The management of cases of occupational asthma in the workplace is examined.  The implications for individuals receiving a diagnosis of work related asthma is discussed, incorporating a presentation and interview with a patient volunteer.  Other topics covered include workplace surveillance and pre-placement issues related to asthma.
