CASS - Common Architecture for Safety Software

When we looked for an Accident/Incident reporting system we wanted it to be flexible and able to be configured to our needs. We are a large site and meeting the needs of every department is never easy. We wanted it to be networked and easy to use so that line managers and safety reps could enter their own reports, eliminating paperwork and freeing up Safety Department time. Most importantly we wanted a system which allowed us to produce up to the minute reports which every user could access to improve communication and learning from our accident and incidents.

CASS with support from Warwick has helped us achieve this. CASS is now a vital part of our accident / incident management. A good sign that a system is meeting its requirements is when people begin to ask 'can we use it for other things' . We are now using CASS to report and monitor our quality problems as well.
