DHSS, Isle of Man - Occupational Health Management Software

We have used OPAS Occupational Health Software from Warwick now for 7 years with huge benefits to our organisation. The system is very flexible and has been configured to respond to individual requests we have made. It now generates automatically many of our standard letters including Fitness to Work reports and Hepatitis B letters automatically. This has saved a considerable amount of time previously given over to administration duties. Having the ability to track the progress of cases and files has proved invaluable to our administrative staff and helped with the smooth running of systems within our department.

We are able to audit department figures by devising reports and also use the system for the reporting of statistics to management. This includes details on reasons for sickness absence and whether this is, or is not, a work related illness, allowing us to spot trends or problem areas. We have found that after the excellent training offered our own reports are quick and easy to design. If we require more detailed and complicated reports, then the support team have provided this service for us.

The support department are just at the end of the phone and therefore easily accessed. Each time we have requested help from them they have explained things clearly (and patiently, to those of us who are technologically challenged!)
